Part of our survey process is the discussion of the products that we use once the floor sanding process has taken place. The most skilled floor sander can spend a huge amount of time preparing the floors, sanding them and finishing them to the highest standard. However, if the end of the process is completed with the use of inferior finish products, then it will inevitably end up as an unsatisfactory result. Why?
Wood finish products vary greatly in the way that they are produced and the finish that they offer. The range of products can seem daunting if you are not well-versed in what to look for. We have spent many years researching and using products and have now confidently only use PALLMANN products.
The floor finish products that we use offer an exceptionally seamless finish so that the floors look great. However, they also offer an incredibly hard-wearing surface. This is really important in the aim to offer true value for money for our clients.
Wood Finish Advice
These images show a floor sanding job that we completed recently. When we arrived, the floors look aged and stained from sun damage. They were uneven and looked as though they had warped over time. The lower part of the floor had been covered with a large rug. Once removed, it was evident just how bleached the surrounding floor had become. Our clients wondered if it was even possible to restore the wood floors so that the entire floor looked the same colour again.
We used PALL-X Pure to finish the floors. This product is advised with application to sanded parquet and wood flooring in heavy wear areas. It is an interior use product and can be used for wooden floors with underfloor heating systems installed. It is advertised as a water-based wood flooring lacquer with a natural, matte appearance. This was perfect to produce a natural and striking look for this wooden floor.
